ICF International Awarded Over $47M by Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Head Start Firm Wins Two New Regions and Two Re-Compete Regions to Continue Work with Head Start Program
Fairfax, VA, August 4, 2009 - ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI) announced today that its subsidiary, ICF Incorporated, LLC, was awarded two new contracts and two re-compete contracts worth over $47M to provide state-based training and technical assistance through direct service to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Head Start. The new areas include the Pacific Northwest and the American Indian/Alaska Native regions. The new contracts are valued at over $26 million. The re-competed contracts won are for the Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West regions. ICF will assist with training and technical consulting assistance, conference facilitation and collaboration, and program management services to grantees in each region. The goals include enhancing the quality of services that children and families receive to improve outcomes for children as they get ready to enter school. “It is especially gratifying to have been awarded these four regions to support the Office of Head Start and Head Start grantees. These wins further expand ICF’s role working with at-risk children and families, also allowing us to specifically work with the American Indian/Alaska Native communities throughout the United States,” said Barbara Rudin, ICF senior vice president and early education expert. “Through our work in the Mid-Atlantic, Mid-West, Pacific Northwest, and American Indian/Alaska Native regions, we run the gamut of large inner city grantees to remote rural programs. This provides us the opportunity to hone our skills and understanding of the program constituents and ensure that we are providing best practices wherever we work with Head Start grantees,” she added.
